Delete picture from one collection only

Jan 01, 2015 03:43PM EST

I can't seem to figure out how to delete a picture from only one collection and not from another. I copied a bunch of pictures to another collection (I thought I was moving them, since my drag cursor indicated a "move") but now they're in both. Stuck.

If I drag a picture to the trash (which is quite a drag, since the Del button doesn't work! Please fix!) the picture gets deleted from BOTH collections. I haven't found a way to delete a picture only from the collection I'm working in.

What you would do is select the image or images in the album, then click on “Edit” in the menu above. There you’ll see a “Remove from collection” option. That will remove the item(s) from the album without deleting it or removing the item(s) from other collections.

A bit of a hassle. What if I need to do this for a whole bunch of images?... The way you describe it doesn't let in any sort of batch processing.

Also, because adding an image to a collection is as simple as dragging it/them to it, the opposite should be a similarly simple operation like dragging it/them out of it.
