Borders around images

Dec 16, 2014 04:33PM EST

First of all I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Koken team for this great application. I switched from Zenphoto a while back and have not looked back since (well, except for some minor features).

Now I'm currently trying to adopt my custom theme into Koken which involves adding a border around the displayed images. Now I found a strange behaviour which I have been able to reproduce with the Blueprint theme. I simply entered the following Custom CSS:

img {

border: solid #ffffff 5px;

Once I publish those changes, the images magically disappear in the content template. Only the borders are shown. If I change the border width to 4px everything looks as expected.

Any idea what might cause this behaviour? Running the latest Firefox on Windows 7 in case that's of any help.

The box sizing may be causing problems with the responsive image functionality. Perhaps you could use ‘border’ by itself? May want to give ‘outline’ a try too.

Thanks for the reply. Outline didn't achieve the desired result either. I was able to implement a workaround though by removing the border-box box-sizing and using the calc functionality of CSS instead.
