Video size limit?

Hi Koken support,

Is there a maximum size for video files that can be uploaded to a library? I set the max_upload_size to 2G. Videos of e.g. 736 MB will upload and can be played back without problems. But if I have a video of e.g. 1,08 GB, I get the upload bar at the top of the screen and the remaining time indicators as usual. But after the bar is full, the screen is refreshed, but there is no new thumbnail for the just uploaded video.

Is there a 1G or other limit (maybe in the database BLOB) that prevents me from uploading large video's to Koken?

On my earlier attempt that failed, as described above, I used the external web address to start the admin pages. This way the upload of the 1,08G video file takes over 2 minutes. Since the video and Koken are already on the same ReadyNAS, I decided to use the internal IP address for both the file and in the browser to start the admin pages. Something like (but not the real IP and dir):

http://192.168.111.22/admin/#/library/albums/168/content
\\192.168.111.22\Videos\MyVideos\gitaar\gitaar.mp4

Now when I upload, it takes less then 30 seconds. Also the thumbnail is created and the video can be played back, at least locally. Haven't tried it from a remote computer yet.

So the video size is not the limit, but it looks there is a time constraint on the upload. Any idea what could be causing this?

There is no constraint in Koken regarding file size or anything like that (outside of PHP’s own upload limit). Sounds like this may be some sort of issue with the ReadyNAS itself or the web server it is running.
