Date taken not set as publish date

Oct 28, 2014 06:06AM EDT

I recently installed this script, and am trying to get it set up with some of my photos. I require it to publish them by the date taken from the EXIF, but the setting doesn't work.

The global setting for it under Settings -> Import -> "Assign date captured to date published" seems to have no effect at all on newly imported or existing images.

Clicking a thumbnail in Library -> Content and then clicking "edit" below Date Published gives the option to assign the date taken, however selecting this doesn't display the EXIF date, and it just sets the current date again.

Separate issue, is there any news on any kind of bulk importing from server yet? I'd think if you can support importing from a single url, you could quite easily have it loop through a directory?

David – couple of things I’d check. First, view the EXIF metadata in the image file on your desktop using an app like Adobe Bridge, Photoshop, or Preview in OS X can display it too. That’s to verify that EXIF capture date exists.

If it does exist, go to Settings > System inside Koken and see what value “EXIF/IPTC Parsing” has. It could be your host server doesn’t support EXIF parsing.
