Maintenance Mode

Apr 09, 2013 05:00PM EDT

Has there been any discussion amongst the koken developers about the inclusion of a 'Maintenance Mode' type feature in a future release? Something that lets you disable your site and put up an "under construction" message instead.

Ideally, the feature would make a site viewable by the user, as long as they were logged in. This feature would be nice if one wanted to make changes to a theme, develop remotely, or update a portfolio and test it before going live.

Just and idea. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the consideration.

Koken publishes to the /koken folder, so in a sense it is in maintenance mode already because nobody would be able to see the site there unless you provided a link to it. When finished you could then edit the publish path in Settings > Site Publishing. That’s edited in the Site URL setting. Removing the “/koken” path would make your site then avail at the root.

As for anything more than that we’ll certainly keep it in mind.

I'm working on a website and I have edited the URL in the Settings/Site Publishing panel (adding /koken) but the main URL still shows the webpage. I have deleted the cache files in Chrome and Koken FTP.
