Media Bar not showing up after pasting text in text editor

Andy

Hi,

I love Koken, it makes my life easier. However, one small thing bugs me when writing essays.

I pre-write my essays quite often on the go in Notepad, Microsoft Word or on the iPad as an Email. Later, when I try to copy & paste the written text into Koken's text editor, I find that the media bar doesn't show up anymore. It only does show up, when write the entire essay from start in Koken's text editor. (Doesn't matter which browser by the way, I tried IE, Firefox and Chrome. Firefox is my usual standard browser).

This phenomenon has been described earlier (but wasn't solved for me) here:
http://help.koken.me/customer/portal/questions/876867-inserting-image-media-after-pasting-text-into-page

Maybe there is a way to add a "import from word" or notepad or whatever functionality? Or maybe there is a workaround?

Thanks for the help!
Cheers,
Andy

I use the Axis theme (though it doesn't seem like a theme thing) and the newest version of Koken.

Hi Andy -

When you paste the text into the essay, are you pasting it into the “normal” view, or are you pasting it into the HTML editor?

Also, when you say the media bar doesn’t appear, how are you trying to make it appear? Have you tried clicking at the end of a paragraph then pressing return to create a new line? I’d think the media row should appear then.

Hi Todd,

thanks for the replay. I tried both: Posting directly into the text editor and the html editor. What I have found is that, when I post into the html editor, the media bar does appear at the very end of the last paragraph. For example, I have written about a DIN A4 page length of text with several paragraphs. I pasted that into koken's html editor and I could only get the media bar at the very end, after the last word. However, my intention was to insert a couple of images a couple of paragraphs before. That did not work.

I have found, that when I manually set the paragraphy html code in front and end of every paragraph <p></p> after pasting, it works fine. But I believe, that is more of a workaround than a solution.
