Video CSS Safari/Firefox/

Oct 03, 2014 11:48AM EDT

I run Koken 0.18.2 and Axis Theme. I'm using Mac OSX 10.9.5.
I've embedded a video on a page and I've noticed some CSS problem (in Safari 7.1 and Chrom
The control menubar at the bottom of the video seems shifted 1px to the right and 1px up to the bottom.
Furthermore the icon "view fullscreen" drops out of line.
In Firefox 31.0 and Opera 12.16 the menubar behave as it should.
See screenshot.

In the Lightbox I've also encountered some strange behavior.
First, the lightbox didn't show a thumbnail of the video and the play icon in the middle of the video container didn't work. If I click beside it, the video start, but if I click on the play nothing happens.

I would gladly fix the CSS myself but I don't understand which parameter of mediaelementplayer.min.css should I change.

Let me know If you plan to look at this or if you can point me to the right css class in the file.

Best, Daniele

Daniele – thanks for the information. Would it be possible for us to see the video page you’re referring to? Would like to test it from our end to see what’s happening. If you’d rather not share that page URL publicly here you can contact us directly below:

Thanks for the Answer Todd.
here is the page:

I've added few little things in the CSS (via the console custom CSS panel) but they shouldn't interfere with the video player (they define the class ol.thumbs).

I've also have another question:
If I change the image processing algorithm from GD to graphicMagic and then clear all the caches token can't regenerate the small thumbnails.
For the middle one everything seems fine.
Do you know why this is happening?

Let me know.

best, Daniele

Daniele – I see what you mean with the video player. It looks like something we’re going to have to investigate further, for there isn’t quite enough room in that row for the full screen button, so it gets kicked out.

As for the thumbnails, it could be the image processing library you switched-to isn’t operating properly and Koken isn’t able to generate thumbnails. Was the processor you had selected before (GD) not functioning correctly? Might be better to switch back if there isn’t a problem with the first one.

Thanks for your Answer Todd.

Regarding the image processing algorithm. Everything is fine now with Imagick 6.6.0-4.
Regarding the video. My server has ffmpeg 0.5.10 installed and Still no thumbnail in the lightbox view ( I've re-uploaded the video to see if I'm able to get a big thumbnail, but nothing happened to the lightbox view (the thumb in page got updated).

I've also noticed some strange behavior in the library panel of the admin console

Let me know if you have any suggestion.

Thanks, Daniele

I've noticed that the Lightbox's header

<meta property="og:image" content=",medium_large.1413203937.jpg" />
<meta property="og:image:width" content="800" />
<meta property="og:image:height" content="450" />

looks for an image that it can't find in the cache folder.
There I see only two images:
Alice,huge.1413203937.jpg and Alice,small.1413203937.jpg

Do you have any idea why token (or probably ffmpeg) can't generate all the different thumbs size?

Daniele – yeah, I think what’s happening is that the video thumbnails aren’t getting generated. When you go to Settings > System inside Koken, do you see ffmpeg support listed there? I’m wondering if ffmpeg may be technically installed on your server but Koken isn’t able to locate it.
