images (logos) as links in the footer

I would like to place logos of other web sites as links in the footer of my site. That used to work by (mis)using the "title" field of a custom link to enter the html for the image (i.e. img scr=urltoimage). Since the last update that workaround is broken. Is there a proper way to do that ?

Hmm…not that I can think of, other than editing the HTML markup, which you could do by duplicating the core theme. http://help.koken.me/customer/portal/articles/898661-customizing-default-themes

Hi Todd, thanks a lot for your answer - unfortunately that is what I wanted to avoid ...
Maybe this could be a neat little improvement for one of the next versions - allow a link title or an image as link in the footer. There a lot of sites that are using that functionality : coolphotoblogs, blurb, photofriday etc.

Definitely something that ought to be an official feature in the future. In the mean time, here is my solution that uses just a bit of custom CSS, pulled from a site I am building. It's a bit of a mess, I'm sure, but it works just fine. Link titles needs to be short so they don't (invisibly) overlap. Feel free to use this.

/* Change the footer links into block elements, set their size, reposition, and make text transparent. */

footer.main > nav:nth-child(2) > ul:nth-child(1) > li > a {
display: block;
width: 30px;
height: 30px;
color: rgba(0,0,0,0);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
margin-top: 8px;
}

/* Tweak the layout of the social media widgets. */

footer.main .social {
margin-bottom: 6px;
}

/* Set the background images. li:nth-child(#) must be incremented for each link.*/

footer.main > nav:nth-child(2) > ul:nth-child(1) > li:nth-child(1) > a:nth-child(1) {
background-image: url('http://www.chocye.com/images/instagram.png');
}

footer.main > nav:nth-child(2) > ul:nth-child(1) > li:nth-child(2) > a:nth-child(1) {
background-image: url('http://www.chocye.com/images/facebook.png');
}

footer.main > nav:nth-child(2) > ul:nth-child(1) > li:nth-child(3) > a:nth-child(1) {
background-image: url('http://www.chocye.com/images/pinkoi.png');
}

Yes, I would definitely appreciate a Footer = Link function!
