I have a long-running koken site with no issues.

How can I have an ability to publish pages OUTSIDE of koken?

For example:

my koken site is www.theshoffer.com

BUT, I want to create a page the resides outside of koken: www.theshoffer.com/VineArts/KathleenVA.html

What do I need to do to be able to do this?

Hi. It doesn’t matter where the webpage is hosted, Koken enables you to add a link to the Koken site’s navigation that will send you to the other page. For ease of navigation, you should also include a link on that page so visitors can return to the Koken site.

so if my koken site is www.theshoffer.com
And I actually ftp a webpage to my same site OUTSIDE of jokes
Www.theshoffer.com/VineArts/KathleenVA.html

You are saying the page will be accessible?

I don't think so...I am not talking about external website...it is about managing content on same website OUTSIDE of liken, but in the same URL structure.

Is the an .htaccess modification needed?

Gives a 404 error.

http://www.theshoffer.com/VineArts/KathleenVA.html
Is the link.
I have tried permissions 644, 775 and the dreaded 777.

This was a web page created outside of Koken.

If you’re getting a 404 error, then the webpage isn’t in the /vinearts directory. You’ll need to put the page somewhere where you can access it directly in your browser, then add the link in Koken.

Perhaps try moving the page to the server root. Then access here: http://www.theshoffer.com/KathleenVA.html
