CSS Edit for Centering **ALL** Embed?

Ronald N. Tan

Jun 12, 2017 11:38AM EDT

I was wondering, if someone might tell me what CSS edit within the theme I should add to make *all* embeds into Essays centered? For example, when I use the Instagram-given embed code from the site, the embed is left justify? How can I make the Instagram and **ALL** embeds centered?

Thank you for your time,

Ronald N. Tan

Hi there Ronald :D

Try this in your custom CSS box:
.k-content-embed {
margin: 2em auto;
}

The above will center any embedded content in both pages and essays, to only center things inside the essays you can use:
.k-lens-essay .k-content-embed,
.k-lens-essays .k-content-embed {
margin: 2em auto;
}

Hi Bjarne,

The code you gave me didn't work on my Regale 2 Essays. Me being me, I don't like to be spoon-fed information and would rather try and show effort, before I seek others' assistance. From me poking and reading around, I have managed to piece together:

.k-content-embed {
text-align:center;
}

.k-content-text {
text-align:left;
}

.instagram-media{
margin: 15px auto !important;
}

The problem is that when using the .instagram-media in my Custom CSS, at the initial lost, my IG embed loads at left-justify AND only about a few microseconds later, the IG embed becomes centered.

I liked to know how I could make the IG-embed load and show up initially at center, without the move? I hope my explanation made sense. :-)

Greetings from California!

Ron

A I was under the impression that it was for your portfolio site, where you're using Madison 2 :D

When it comes to the delayed centering, this is most certainly because the plugin CSS is loaded before the your custom CSS "kicks in"
And the only way around that would be to edit the plugins CSS
