IPTC/metadata

When I import a certain file via lightroom plugin koken-inspector shows IPTC/metadata content in the <caption> and <title> fields.

Importing the same file via <import content> the caption and title are empty.

Any thoughts ?

It could be that your host server doesn’t support parsing through the browser. If you go to Settings > System > EXIF/IPTC parsing inside Koken you should see there whether parsing is supported.

What I would recommend doing then is viewing the image you’re uploading (in the browser) in an app that allows you to see its metadata. Adobe bridge does this as does Preview on the Mac. Could temporarily add the jpg to Lightroom too, come to think of it. That way you can confirm whether the jpg you’re uploading actually has metadata avail to parse.

In Adobe Photoshop, MAC Preview, MAC OS File Info and Photo Mechanic I can see the metadata (like Lightroom).

Klick <view> EXIF shows the caption as <description>.
