Vimeo Plugin not working

Andi

Hi

Just purchased your vimeo plugin.
Problem: the connection works, but no videos are loaded. There's a turning wheel that shows "adding video from vimeo..." endlessly.

Thanks for help

Brad, thanks for your quick reply.

I think I just realized what's going on: my privacy settings in vimeo don't allow everyone to watch my videos. Does this mean the plugin is useless for me? I dont' want everyone to be able to see my films. Thought it would work nevertheless because my domain is set to embed videos (vimeo settings).

Andi – What exactly are your privacy settings? Typically, as long as you are able to embed the videos and have your Koken site’s domain whitelisted in the “Only sites I choose” section of your privacy settings. See:

Hey Brad

Thanks for helping me - I really appreciate it!

These are the privacy settings I chose:
Who can watch the videos - only me.
Embed - only sites I choose (here, I filled in the domain my koken site is part of).

But somehow there seems to be a conflict. The plugin does not upload the videos.
Cheers

Andi

By the way: so great that we have password protection now!

Brad, it seems I've found a workaround:

To import videos with your plugin I've set my privacy settings to "everyone can watch" for some seconds. As soon as the material is imported to koken's library, I go back and set "don't show on vimeo".
This means people having access to my site can watch the video without being forced to log in to vimeo.

Cheers

Andi – Interesting. We’ll have to investigate this more, but I think the API we are using to get this does require them to at least be public at the time of import. There is an extended API that has become recently available that may be able to help us get around that, but at least you found a workaround for now.
