Opacity Settings for Images on Albums page

So...what I am trying to do is sort of fine-grained, perhaps more than Koken can currently handle. I'm looking to see if anyone has an ideas on this, probably using .css customization that I haven't figured out how to do. My .css skills are Intermediate, and I am using the Regale theme. What I would like is this:

On my site, I have an Albums page, on which I have defined the images that link to the galleries to Show Titles Underneath. On the pages for the individual albums, I have defined the images that link to the individual images in the Albums to show titles on mouseover, with a opacity defined for the hover background. Like so:

http://rickalfaro.com/koken/albums/

and

http://rickalfaro.com/koken/albums/landscapes/

This is okay, but what I would really like is, on the Albums page, to have the titles underneath along with an opacity (similar to the one on the individual album pages) upon hover. Aesthetically this keeps things a little more consistent, and it makes it more obvious that it is a link.

I have tried tweaking the .cc for the a.img-hover:hover span.overlay, i.e,:

a.img-hover:hover span.overlay {
-ms-filter: "progid: DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=100)";
filter: alpha(opacity=100);
opacity: 0;
}

but to no avail, except when I set "Opacity:" to "1", it affects all of the pages on the site, and makes the hover a solid grey.

Anyone have any experience or ideas on this?
