Edit slideshow

Pulse is Koken's built-in site slideshow player. It's pure Javascript, works in all browsers and mobile devices, and makes it easy for theme designers building their own themes to include slideshows as part of their page layouts.

Editing slideshows

When Pulse has been added to a template it becomes an editable element in the Site console (see example image above). Mouse over a Pulse slideshow and a gear button will appear in its top right corner. Clicking the button produces a panel for editing slideshow dimensions, playback, behavior, transitions, and other options.

Designing slideshows

Once Pulse is in a template, theme designers may adjust its size and settings to their liking, which will then serve as the default settings for the slideshow. Publishers creating a site using the designer's theme may then edit the slideshow's settings (as explained above) if they'd like to.

Extending slideshows

Pulse may also be extended by developers with external controls or through its Javascript API which offers a number of events and methods to tap into. Developers will also soon be able to write their own plugins for Pulse to extend the player even further.
