madison2 / responsive image size in album view

Dear support team,

first thank's a lot for the great CMS! I switched to Koken yesterday, setting up the basics was a breeze and Madison is a great looking theme.

I have but one big issue remaining: In album view (when showing single pictures), image height doesn't fit the screen, so lower image parts are only visible by scrolling down. (Example: )

Both portrait and most landscape pictures are affected. Things are fine for landscape with very "flat" aspect ratio, when max. width is the limiting factor. Screen size at my desktop is 1680x1050.

I tried "max height" in theme settings, but without success. Minimum option seems to be 800px, which would still be too much. (Plus, strange enough, when checking some portraits images in screenshots, they are displayed with a height of ca. 840px instead of a 800px limit.)

In the "lightbox", image size works fine. I'd very much prefer to stay in "album view" instead of using the "lightbox", though, to have site title and navigation always visible.

Would you have some advice if there's some adjustment I may have set wrong as a newbie?
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Yours, Michael

Update: I couldn't solve the issue, so I switched to lightbox-mode for now as a workaround. The example link given above will hence not show the initial issue any more.

Nevertheless, any advice on proper image size in album view is still greatly apprecciated!

Yours, Michael
