Viewing on Smart phones

Oct 01, 2017 10:45AM EDT

my site ist very often used from Smart phones to view the pictures.
I mam using the elementary theme.
Is there a way to speed up the performance and to use the same mechanism like used on local smartphone albums to flip through the sets and albums?
I gor some complaints, that my site ist quite slow..
Thanks in advance

A key part of Koken involves image generation and caching. Koken creates images by using image processing software installed on your web server. This process takes your uploaded images and generates smaller versions for use inside Koken and on your public web site. Koken considers several factors when creating cached images, including the size the image will be displayed in your site theme and whether or not the end user is using a HiDPI (also known as “retina”) screen. In all, Koken has the potential to create 28 different caches for each image you add to your library. Koken creates most cached images on-demand as needed to avoid overloading your web server. As the images are generated on demand (when the page is visited) it will take time until those images are created and cached. Once cached, the images are immediately available for display to site visitors.
