API Cache - Laragon

I'm using Laragon for local development. Initially there was an issue with the error "blocking loopback connections"

However, using ngrok has seemed to resolve some of this and I am able to load the web page. Unfortunately, images - served by the i.php script - are failing to load.

I've cleared the storage\cache\api folder so it is trying to load a valid URL but it seems to be just timing out and failing.

Have you tested the platform on Laragon/ngrok, this is a fairly common development setup.
Do you have any ideas how this can be resolved? Is it possible to disable the loopback loading for local development? Any plans to refactor this code in favour of a service layer?

Many thanks for any help.

Have not used largon in Koken dev. Our devs typically use Vagrant or Docker. You can set define(‘LOOPBACK_HOST_HEADER’, false); in /storage/configuration/user_setup.php. Unsure if that will fix you image loading issue, sometimes that loopback is a bit of a red herring.
