This article includes tips for issues and errors that may arise when attempting to upload content from your desktop or import content from a third party service or site in Koken's Library.
If you haven't updated your web browser in a long time, it may be incompatible with Koken's file uploader. This isn't a problem with any relatively recent web browser and affects very few people, but is worth pointing out in case you haven't updated your operating system or browser in a while.
HTTP error notification
If while uploading you see an "HTTP error" notification at the top of Koken, you may have run out of disk space on your host server. Get in touch with your web hosting provider to find out what your disk space limit is and how much you have consumed.
If that's not the problem, then the error is being thrown because of some other issue specific to your web server's configuration. In this situation it is best to contact us with your Koken installation's sign-in URL, username and password so we can investigate.
Images/videos finish uploading, but no thumbnails
If the uploader finishes but all you see in the Library are rotating spinners where there should be thumbnail images, this is most commonly a compatibility issue with the currently selected image processing software on your server.
To resolve this, try changing your image processing software. After doing so refresh your web browser and try viewing your Library content again. If all goes well, thumbnails for each image should appear.
If images still do not appear, the issue is likely something deeper. Please contact us and include your Koken installation's sign-in URL, username and password so we can check it out.
