Raising server memory limit

Raising server memory limit

Last Updated: Feb 12, 2016 09:34AM EST

PHP has a configurable memory limit to control memory allocation. Set too low and Koken may not function to its fullest potential. We recommend at least 64mb. You may check your server’s current PHP memory limit inside Koken by going to Settings > System.

Here are a couple of ways you may raise this memory limit yourself.

Edit user_setup.php

In Koken’s storage/configuration folder is a file named user_setup.php. Add the following line to it, and set the number to the value you want.

ini_set('memory_limit', '64M');

Edit .htaccess

If editing user_setup.php doesn’t work, try adding the following to /koken/.htaccess:

php_value memory_limit 64M

Contact your web host

If neither of the above options work please contact your web hosting provider to request they raise it for you.
